History

SRS is a professional organization serving people since 1978. It evolved on 2nd October 1978. SRS became legal entity under Societies Registration Act in 1980. SRS is non-political, non-profit and secular voluntary organization registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1958.

It evolved on 2nd October 1978. It was joint venture on the part of 27 youths inspired by the spirit of commitment and dedication. Their emotional response, moral commitment and social responsibility forced them to join hands together for contributing their mite to mitigate social problems in general and for the development of under-privileged in particular. SRS became legal entity under Societies Registration Act in 1980.

SRS was born with ideological commitment to do concrete work for betterment of society. It has kept its focus on deprived section of the society, especially on women issues. It has touched ecological issues on one side, whereas it has developed a strong belief in revival of traditional practices in health. Since the initiation, there was a wide canvas of its intervention, which includes working with students & youths on petroleum conservation, promoting thrift & credit habits among women through Self-Help Groups (SHGs), reviving traditional health practices etc.
